Hey, nice to meet you! I'm Britt Planken, 21 years old and living in the Netherlands. I have a big passion for creating art and observing the world. Going on walks or relaxing in public transport really helps me notice the small details that normally go unnoticed. I love listening to music during these times, you can often find me listening to Lorde or the album 'An Awesome Wave' by Alt-J.
I recently graduated from my bachelors at St. Joost School of Art & Design (in Breda) where I studied Illustrated & Animated Storytelling. After this summer I'll start my masters in Animation at St. Joost in Den Bosch! This keeps me fairly busy at all times but I dont mind since I really enjoy it . In my spare time I like to grab lunch or coffee with friends and take care of my bedroom jungle.
Most of my work is made out of a need to create. Experimenting with different techniques and styles is one of my biggest motives. I'm also very invested in social issues, I've been trying to make more of a connection between this personal interest and my work itself. This is definitely something I want to do more with in the future, wheter it's showing diversity, educating or make people reflect on their values and beliefs.
