Editorial

I've always had a liking for editorial illustration. It's great to look at the many different ways you can approach a certain topic. Most of my editorial illustrions contain some kind of metaphor, I often use these to add another layer to the story. My editorial illustration techniques really grew during my internship at NRC Handelsblad. I was able to create work for many different topics and learn more about the way the news works. Seeing your own work published in a physical newspaper is a great feeling.

The two spreads above are part of a bigger project! This was mostly created with the online version in mind, instead of the physical newspaper. I learned a lot and had a great time working together with many different people. Below is the link to the online version of the article!

I also worked on other editorial illustrations which are either not (yet) used for the NRC or created to get more used to editorial work.
